When it comes to running a business, I’m not sure we’d get anywhere without the feedback and support we receive on a daily basis from social media. Some of our biggest buying decisions have happened because of polls on our Instagram stories, and speaking to some of our favourite influencers across the interiors industry. Not only do we value these opinions so much, but it helps us to understand how you, the customer, might style these pieces in your own home.
We asked some of our all-time favourite bloggers and influencers in the interiors world about our Hunter & Co. collection, and what their favourite item is from our store and why. We hope their top picks and feedback will inspire what pieces you want in your home as much as they have inspired us!
So, in alphabetical order by their Instagram handles, here are 10 great interior names, 10 beautiful products and 10 reasons why.
GIRL ABOUT HOUSE
Luxury interiors blogger Sarah Mailer, aka Girl About House (@girlabouthouse), is one of our online must-visits when we’re looking for contemporary, and luxe interior styling ideas. Not only do we see behind the scenes sneak peaks of the running of her interior design consultancy (Sarah Mailer Design), Sarah will often share her travel adventures, homeware and fashion purchases and more recently, her beautiful family life.
Sarah chose the Ayla wooden bowl:
“I’m a little bit obsessed with the Ayla Wooden Bowl - a beautifully understated piece for coffee-table, kitchen island or shelf styling. The texture and muted palette appeals to me and it feels casually chic. I love to include organic shapes and pieces with interesting patina in all my design schemes, so this certainly fits the bill.”

HUNTERS AND HEELS
Having met Lauren of Hunters & Heels (@huntersandheels) for the first time in March of this year, it’s fair to say she’s one of the nicest and most genuine people both on and offline that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Working as the social content editor for Bobbi Brown, it’s no wonder her makeup is always flawless and while her feed is the epitome of glam and stunning imagery, it’s Lauren’s interesting and funny stories that keep me coming back for more!
Lauren chose the Madison Rug:
“I love how a beautiful rug can transform a space and instantly give it the feeling of comfort and warmth. The Madison Rug is so versatile and would work in many corners of my home.”

INSIDE NUMBER SIXTEEN
Inside Number Sixteen (@insidenumbersixteen) is the Insta baby of Helen, a Northern Ireland based Instagrammer who has risen from 1k to a staggering 46k followers in just a matter of months. It’s no wonder, seeing the development of her beautiful self-built Georgian inspired mansion home. A highlight of her home is her open plan living-kitchen with her insta-famous orangery, wide herringbone wooden floors, and glass roof lantern. It’s amazing to see this space transform throughout the seasons and holidays.
Helen chose the La Paz Vase:
“The La Paz Vase is such a stunning piece and has a really fun name if you pronounce vase as I do. I adore the crisp white colour and glossy finish. The beautiful texture and Mayan-like design would adds interest and elegance to a console or coffee table.”

JUST A LITTLE BUILD
Most of you probably already follow Sarah Jane of (@justalittlebuild) and know her gorgeous house and even more gorgeous kids very well. I had the great opportunity to be one of the small inspirational businesses to participate in SJ’s last Just a Little Instameet in March.
Asides from meeting so many amazing women and having a fantastic day, the biggest highlight was meeting SJ’s insta-famous daughter Scarlett who is the cutest thing in the world! The Just a Little Build Instagram account and online blog are filled with DIY and renovation advice, delicious recipes, interior styling tips and great lifestyle inspiration.
SJ chose the Sanderson Tray, which we gifted to her as a thank you for letting us be a part of her Just a Little Instameet. She has styled it perfectly in her beautiful Leat House in Cornwall to complement that relaxed coastal vibe:
“What I love about this Sanderson tray is its side detailing. The circular design and carved wooden balls which feature around the edge, gives it a lovely hand-crafted feel. There is so much you can do with an understated wooden tray but I like to showcase it in the centre of my coffee table with a selection of nautical accents like balls of rope, jars of sea glass, some coasters and a beautifully smelling candle.”

LAURA BUTLER MADDEN
If you follow Laura Butler Madden (@laurabutlermadden), you’ll know she recently sold her stunning Dorset country home (don’t know how she managed to part ways with it!) and has relocated to Menorca for a few months to redo a fabulous 6 bed villa (Airbnb link here) in time for the summer season. The photos in this link are before her redecorating, but I can confirm from Laura’s stories that it is going to look insane! You can actually book to stay there from June onwards. Planning my trip already, just need to recruit another 5 families to come with us!
She also has a gorgeous rental flat in Notting Hill, London that got selected as one of the top ten Airbnb places to stay in the world, selected by Queer Eye’s very own designer, Bobby Berk, for Conde Nast Traveller (what a win!).
Laura has chosen the Adana Vase:
“I love the Adana vase! So beautiful - I have always adored blue and white ceramics and currently am working on a house in Menorca - this would look perfect there!"

LISA DAWSON
Lisa Dawson (@_lisa_dawson_) is one of the quirkiest, funniest and most real bloggers you’ll find on Instagram, I could watch her stories for days. Her detached Georgian house in York is a quirky, vintage and retro styled family home with so much personality injected into it. I’m not sure there’s anyone more famous for a more well-executed gallery wall than Lisa.
Lisa chose the Sofia vase, which we gifted to her last year as part of her regular, supportive Small Business shoutouts. You'll notice our Sofia vase sometimes being featured on her fireplace mantel in her eclectic, charming living room.
"I absolutely love the Sofia vase. It's a really good size and the design is just gorgeous - it's blue and white pattern fits perfectly into my living room and it looks just as good standing alone as it does when you add flowers or greenery. It's also really sturdy which is really important when you live in a house of five! The quality of this vase, as with all Hunter & Co products, is just beautiful and it's definitely one to keep."

LITTLE HOUSE IN LONDON
Creator of #myhousethismonth #mygardenthismonth and #mywardrobethismonth, Amy Davies Pereira of @littlehouseinlondon certainly knows a thing or three about a winning Instagram hashtag. As well as hosting monthly Instagram hashtag challenges and fostering a wonderful insta-community for interior lovers to seek inspiration, Amy shares her own floral filled London house, which blends Scandinavian and country styling perfectly.
Amy chose the Vigo Vase, which we gifted to her last year for one of the #myhousethismonth competitions and she regularly tags us (thank you!) in different corners of her colourful home.
"I love the Vigo vase, it features in many of my Instagram posts. It’s sturdy, and I adore the handmade look of it. The monochrome palette means it fits into most of my colour schemes."

PEBBLES AND PEANUTS
Natasha of Pebbles and Peanuts (@pebbles_and_peanuts) owns the most stunning monochrome Victorian house, where the need for colour really is redundant. Her black Crittal windows that make up the back wall of the house really are a show stopper and I’m excited to see how this property continues to develop and grow. Having met Natasha in person on several occasions now, I can confirm we get on like a house on fire and no one can ever shut us both up!
Natasha chose the Monte Carlo Bone Box:
"The Monte Carlo bone box is definitely on my wish list. Black will never go out of style and this box packs a subtle punch of contrast to any space. It’s perfect for keeping trinkets in, whether on a bedside table or console table- or even placed on a shelf to add some visual interest."

STYLE THE CLUTTER
I met Leoma (@styletheclutter) for the first time when she came to our interiors panel event in our pop up store in February. She is as beautiful and sweet in person as she is on screen. The absolute best thing about her family home that I am obsessed with is her orangery with the big black windows and high glass ceilings. What a room to have in your home!
Leoma chose the Kaya Cushions:
"I love these cushions by Hunter and Co. They are so beautifully made and add character and warmth to any space with their fun, unique and contemporary design."

THE GREEN EYED GIRL
Claire Wainwright aka The Green Eyed Girl (@thegreeneyedgirl_) has one of the most stylish, modern yet traditional homes on Instagram and was one of the first influencers to support the brand when we launched. Her style is effortless, featured on the likes of Rock My Style, and I’m excited to follow her journey into motherhood after her recent pregnancy announcement.
Claire chose the Sandhurst Natural Wood Medium Tray (these are currently sold out in store but we still have some of the Sandhurst Natural Wood Long Trays left). We gifted this tray to Claire as part of a collaboration last year and I love how she styles it gorgeously on her living room shelf.
“The Sandhurst Natural Wood Tray is one of my favourite Hunter and Co items. It is really unique and looks great on a sideboard, coffee or dining table or even on the kitchen countertop. It is rustic yet elegant and I’ve not seen anything like it in any other UK shops. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have one! At Christmas I filled mine with scented pinecones and the rest of the year it houses decorative bits in my living room but I think it would work beautifully anywhere in the home."
