This decorative box is ethically made in India from buffalo bone inlay and pine MDF wood. The buffalo bone is naturally sourced, processed and purified in government owned factories in India and sold to rural craftsmen by the Indian government to encourage rural regeneration, development and to re-enforce the government ban on ivory and ebony. The buffalo bones are cut into small strips then shaped, coloured and handcrafted into these beautifully made decorative boxes.
