7 INSTAGRAM ACCOUNTS THAT INSPIRE OUR FEED DAILY

Ah Instagram, the platform allows us a sneak peek behind the doors of other people’s homes.

Discovering new Instagram accounts – you know the ones, where you feel excited every time you spot a new image on your feed – is one of our favourite ways to spend a Sunday morning.

Aside from the amazing go-to sources for all thing’s interiors such as Remodelista, Lonny Mag, LiketoknowitHome, One Kings Lane and Home Polish, we wanted to share seven of our slightly lesser-known must-follow accounts and in turn, give your feed some fresh inspiration.

STUDIO MCGEE

Founded by Shea and Syd McGee, Studio McGee is an interior design firm with a light, bright aesthetic that has attracted a staggering 800k followers on Instagram. As the interior designer in the duo, Shea not only has a phenomenal sense of style, she also creates the most helpful How To Guides, including explaining where to splurge in your kitchen remodel, how to style glass cabinets, and how to mix and match pillows like a pro – I mean, if we’re labelling anybody a pro, it’s going to be Shea. Not content with running an extremely successful interior design service and blog, the husband and wife team have since launched a Studio McGee product line, leading to the opening of their first brick and mortar store in Newport – our ultimate number one major store goal. Filled with images perfectly in line with their fresh, coastal interior style, Studio McGee’s Instagram is one to follow immediately – and don’t forget to join in with their hashtag #SMMakeLifeBeautiful.

THE HAVEN LIST

Created as a one-stop shop for some of the best names in interior, creative and lifestyle services, The Haven List not only shares an amazing directory of interior designers and home décor brands including Lark & Linen, Shoppe Amber Interiors, and Camille Styles, it offers daily inspiration over on its blog, Haven. The beauty of Haven is that it covers so much more than beautiful interiors, with posts on staying productive as a business owner, and creating a workspace you thrive in – topics of which are discussed with great engagement from those faced with same issues on The Haven List’s Instagram. For even more inspiration, be sure to check out the brand’s hashtag #howihaven, which has a whole heap of real-life home décor ideas from followers and fans of The Haven List.

LECLAIR DÉCOR

Leclair Décor are a Canadian based husband and wife interior design studio. With a feed full of delicious muted tones with the odd splash of tan and natural wood thrown in for good measure, this is one of our favourite grids to scroll through over coffee. The success of Sacha and Melissa Leclair’s style is partly down to almost always incorporating some masculine elements into their designs to give a more balanced style for a family home. If you decide to follow - and we think you should! – expect to see lots of brown leather, dark navy textiles like rugs, cushions, bedding etc, and black metals throughout. Just take a look at this recent project, Ashmore Trailsedge, to see what I mean. How stunning are the gold pendant lights used to create a focal point over the kitchen island?

LAINE & LAYNE

Yet another husband and wife duo – we’ve got a thing for creative couples as you can tell – Laine & Layne is a lifestyle brand created by Justin and Chelsi. With over 15,000 followers on Instagram, many have fallen in love with their luxe neutral interior style. The Laine & Layne website is currently awaiting an exciting relaunch, which means we’re looking to Instagram for our daily hit of calm, relaxed living. Another reason we love Justin and Chelsi’s work so much is because of their fantastic skills in photography – the images they capture of their home are absolutely stunning, and we often take notes of inspiration when we’re looking to snap our own lifestyle and product photography. We have more saved images from their account than anyone else’s. You won’t regret bookmarking this interiors account, trust us.

THE GREEN EYED GIRL

One of our favourite “real home” accounts to follow has to be that of Claire Wainwright, aka The Green Eyed Girl. As soon as we discovered Claire’s Instagram feed, we knew it was a match made in heaven. Our styles are incredibly similar, and she manages to capture that effortless light, fresh coastal style of interior we love so much. Working as an interior stylist full-time, as well as running a successful home and style blog, The Green Eyed Girl, it’s easy to see why Claire continues to attract a growing legion of fans with her down-to-earth captions, and beautifully shot interior, travel and fashion images. Make sure you check out Claire’s before and after images – the kitchen especially - showing you just how her great eye for style has completely transformed her current period property.

THREE BIRDS RENOVATIONS

We couldn’t round up our favourite Instagram accounts and not include the design trio that is Three Birds Renovations. Made up of Bonnie, Lana and Erin, this design company based in Australia have become an internet sensation with their incredibly styled renovation projects. These women take the most down-and-out house on the street and turn it into something worth millions. From beach shacks to letting us in on their own personal reno’s – remember Bonnie’s dream house? – their Instagram not only gives us a stream of white and bright interior inspiration, but also handy tips and advice for renovating our own homes. If you’re looking for something to watch this weekend, we’d highly recommend watching the Three Birds Renovations YouTube channel. We binge watched in one sitting.

TH2 DESIGNS

If you’re looking for a glimpse into the world of an interior design studio, then Th2Designs is a must-follow. Based in Chelsea Harbour, London – home to some of our capital's best interior brands and designers - they describe their style as “relaxed luxury interiors”, which is right up our street! As you can see above, we get most of our inspiration from abroad, so we love seeing what colour schemes, fabric finishes and stylish furnitures Th2Designs use for their latest projects to keep us on trend with the British audience. Definitely one of our favourite British interior designers!
